Synopsis

In a small city in North Africa, three women are heading to a marriage hall, Sonia to sing, Salima to work in the kitchen and Kamila to get married to a local rich businessman. When Youcef, a Parkour sportsman and desperate high school sweetheart of Kamila, takes a day off work to attend the wedding, old passions flare up and the celebration turns to mayhem. The sport of Parkour forms the backdrop of this film. Comedy, with an underlying serious message on the struggles and options available to modern Algerian women and men. “PARKOUR(S) film was a very low budget, we got funding after shooting. So it looks like it is a warrior film, shot in 3 weeks with a young cast and crew. But we are proud to bring to the world a film that tell’s something real about Algeria today.” FATMA ZOHRA ZAMOUM
